I was a 7mm mag guy every since I was big enough to tote one. Started reading & researching ballistics and was sold on the 25.06 round. As with any caliber, it’s all about shot placement. You do your job & that little 25.06 will hold up its end every time

it's recommended that a person get the rifle of their choice with a barrel longer than 22 inches for velocity and also muzzle blast considerations.

115 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertip deals a heavy blow out to around 200 yards.

It's a 30-06 necked down to a .257. Not 6.5mm. That would be the badass 6.5-06 that outta have more popularity than it does.

You sir are correct. But Mike was pretty close. 6.5mm. = 0.2559, less than a human hair different. A 6.5 Creedmoor is 0.2644 or 6.72mm.

I have been shooting one for 25 years and killed more deer and hogs then I can remember. My buddy reloads all my ammo so I have never had that problem. I mounted a Nikon scope when I bought it and the last time a made a adjustment on the scope was 2010. It is the best rifle/scope combo that I have ever owned.

That is the one caliber that I can’t believe hasn’t been given a cool name and put on the market. Seems like it would be wildly popular as crazy as everybody is these days over 6.5’s

Midway USA has 6.5-06 brass too. It should be called something cool like whild bill-06 or perch-06. Then it'd take off
