Ive heard of them eating the seeds too, but never hunted over it, or seen it myself.

They like the greenery that comes up in between the rows. I also know they will eat the young bolls in cotton when they are hungry. The poor man that farmed where I hunt finally gave up. Too many deer to grow soybeans so he went back to cotton and they wore him out on that.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

They love cotton seed to, when I had a place in Mississippi I killed more on fresh cut cotton than fresh cut corn. I started feeding cotton seed meal above anything else after seeing how much they liked it. That's my secret to a trophy room rivaled only by Troy's (his wood work looks better)

I hunted a creek creek crossing accessing a cotton field at my place in Mississippi on 3 mornings between daylight and 10 am 3 of us shared that stand and killed 3 mature bucks within an hour. None of us used under armour, scent blocker, Thomson center, scentless soap, nightforce scopes, Barnett crossbows, or knight & hale calls. It is was the be damndezt place I ever hunted. I hated to sell it but after a couple years of owning it I sold it for just over 4x's what I paid for it.
Bucksville Fatboy described my place as the prettiest place god ever let a peckerwood claim use of.
