who does it (and will admit to it)? I've never done it, but always thought it would be a great workout. Not so much for weight loss, but keeping you from getting "stove up". I always see people talk about how when they start getting in their 40's/50's, everything hurts, they're stiff/sore all the time, etc. Just seems like that would go a long way in preventing it.

I know some versions of it have a more "spiritual" aspect to the program/routine......I wouldn't be down with all that, but the actual exercises/stretches/etc seem like they'd be great for keeping you loose and moving.

Heck yeah....there's another reason to do some yoga. Hot chicks in yoga pants bending over right in front of you.

I do it and enjoy it. Yoga's very helpful for flexibility and relaxation.

It's nothing more than controlled stretching, concentration and breathing.

Flexibility.....that's the word I was looking for and my mind went blank.

Seems like it'd be especially useful for hunters - particularly hunters that do a lot of walking/hiking/stalking.

I’ve never done yoga but have done pilates. Holy smokes, talk about a core muscle workout. Doesn’t seem hard when you are doing it but you feel it the next day

Or you could just do a lot of walking, hiking, and stalking. Those are great ways to stay in shape.

We use to have to do it for baseball, or the pitchers did. Great for flexibility, i wouldnt call it a work out though.

If you want an excuse to try it and you live in the Bham area you can go to Good People Brewing on Tuesday night and for $10 you get a beer of your choice and an hour long yoga class. It’s a mix of the aforementioned yoga pant scenery, beer drinking, and exercise. A few ex UAB linemen are regulars but Ican’t speak to their motivation nor am I stupid enough to question it.

I've done it and will admit it left me hurting worse than fighting a fire. It's good for you if you can swallow your ego.

I'll be doing it after surgery. The docs and pt both have brought up yoga and a new diet. After this crap I'll punt my ego out the door and piss on my man card.

I've had back trouble and old injuries. My stretching routine consist of several yoga poses strung together.

My wife went to yoga for a few years (she's started CrossFit with me now), and she loved it. Problem is, at least where she attended, is they wouldn't allow men.
