For a standard 20" Carbine I'd say that is about right on price.
If anyone on here comes across a 18" Texan with the straight stock on it keep me in mind. 336T, 336TS or the 30TK they sold at K-Mart in the 80's.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

What is a pre safety JM stamped one in very good condition worth? $350.00 to $600.00 depending on condition, wood on the gun and who's doing the selling and the buying.
