Bayli and I just got set up for our first hunt in Alabama. We are sitting on a narrow plot with a big thick creek bottom to our left. It's a beautiful afternoon.

Me and my boy are checking in. Sitting on a greenfield that I believe to be in the core area of where I believe a really good 10 point is living. Hoping we get lucky. My son killed his first buck last weekend in Kentucky. Dont really matter what walks out dont think it will top being with my son killing his first buck. Good luck everybody.

Had a doe and a fawn pop out on my Plot early and feed a good bit. He was good sized but still had spots. He ate a good bit of grass, then nursed. She let him nurse several minutes and then took a hop to make him stop. I dont think Ive ever watched one nurse in the wild like that. Pretty cool.

Another doe. By herself. Fawn can't be too far behind

central ala,
I actually went "hunting" this afternoon if want to call it that. I don't know what is going on around here but its not like I've ever seen. The deer moved well as expected but I heard NO shots. ZERO!!! That's 2 shots yesterday morning, zero shots yesterday afternoon, this morning, and this afternoon. Normally sounds like a dove shoot.

I saw 7 deer this afternoon. One of them was this 3 year old 8 point. I'm hoping that my wife can go back and get a shot at him
