I was lucky enough this morning to take a decent 8 pt with my 35 yr old hawken rifle. First time I’ve used it in 4 or 5 yrs. I also got to use my new hitch mount hoist system. Worked great once I winched the buck up about 30 yards of near bluff terrain. [img:left]  [/img] [img:left]  [/img]

Nice! I’m carrying my smoke pole tomorrow. Hope to cause a big smoke cloud Hah! I had forgotten about the cloud and when I shot I couldn’t see a thing then he came running past me and I could see the blood out the exit side. I knew he wasn’t running far but he ran straight downhill.
