I have missed and then killed a deer out of the same tree 10 minutes later. Last year I missed a doe at 10yds because I didn't realize my hha was set on 35. Shot that same doe about 5 minutes later in the exact same spot. My bloody arrow was stuck in the ground within two feet of my other arrow.

I've had my arrow hit a limb and the deer jump but not run off. I got another arrow and didn't miss the second time.
