How long do you wait until you go back? Clean miss, the deer scattered but then came back. Guy had to wait awhile before the deer finally left before he could get out of his blind. I told him it doesn't sound like he spooked them to much, but I would give it a day or two to let them relax a little. He says it was a 50 yard shot.

I have missed and then killed a deer out of the same tree 10 minutes later.

Last year I missed a doe at 10yds because I didn't realize my hha was set on 35. Shot that same doe about 5 minutes later in the exact same spot. My bloody arrow was stuck in the ground within two feet of my other arrow.

Immediately. Don't give them too much credit. Curiosity kills as many deer as it does cats.

They all came back. Before he left. I figured it was a good sign. I'll let him know. I work, but he can go back.

I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. Theres a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts. Ronald Reagan

I've had my arrow hit a limb and the deer jump but not run off. I got another arrow and didn't miss the second time.

I've missed and a few minutes later gotten a second chance and killed. But my furthest shot has been less than 30 yards with a bow.
