Looking to get a rifle for a right handed shooter who's left eye dominant. Would you suggest a right or left side ejection?

Before someone suggests that they try one of each and decide for themselves, been there, done that, neither one "feels right". Personally I think the left eye dominance is the more important factor but jerking the trigger and flinching is a possibility using the left hand.

I suggest a crap load of range time lol

In all seriousness I work with a lefty that is right eye dominate. He shoots pistols left handed and rifles right handed. Works for him.

I’m left eye dominant and have shot right handed my whole life.

I'm left eye dominant and right handed. I shoot both rifles and pistols right handed. I used to close my left eye when I was young. Now I keep both eyes open no matter what I'm shooting. It takes practice but it would really depend on how bad you right eye is.

Though I'm right handed, I’m left eye dominant and shoot left handed using right hand bolt actions (with a few single shots, levers, & pumps mixed in)

I may not be the quickest for follow up shots, but I've never felt handicapped.

I'm left handed but right eye dominant, and I shoot right handed, but I think that is more to do with the fact that I only had access to right handed guns.

Im right handed left eye dominant. Only two things I do left handed is shoot long guns and pool. But I cant stand a left handed gun. Go figure. I shoot bows right handed.

I would go right handed. For me it's awkward working the action on a left handed gun. I imagine with time it would become natural but I just prefer right handed, even in a bolt gun.

I was right eye dominant until I messed my eye up back in 1997. I had to relearn how to shoot left handed because I can't see well enough with my right eye to shoot. I was determined to learn to shoot left handed and after A LOT of range time it finally began to feel natural to shoot left handed. I still shoot handguns right handed but sight with my left eye. I know that isn't what the gurus tell you to do but it works for me and I'm pretty good with it.

All that being said, I shoot right hand rifles. It's what I had and honestly a left handed rifle just feels weird to me when trying to run the bolt.

Does it really matter if you are shooting a rifle with a scope? I am right eye dominant but shoot left handed Closing my right eye. I too shoot right handed at times when the situation calls for it using my right dominant eye. However, I am not as good a shot right handed. But adequate.

Let him try shooting right handed which should be more comfortable for him and closing his left eye. Don't really know but it shouldn't matter if he closes his left eye.
