Both have pros & cons. For <100 hp I like the 2 strokes. They are lighter, much easier to fix and do the services yourself. The 4 strokes seem to be more reliable, more fuel efficient, no oil mixing but are heavier and more expensive and take more experience to work on or service. E-Tecs are almost a hybrid as far as performance from what I can tell on my bigger boat.
I should have added that most 2 strokes are louder and smoke more. My 60hp is relatively quiet and doesn't smoke much at all.

I love my pro-xs but my next motor will likely be a repower in 4-5 years hopefully and it will be whatever has the best warranty at that time.

I just looked up Tohatsu motors since I'm unfamiliar with them. The weight difference between a 50 hoss 2 and 4 stroke is 6 lbs.
I'd go 4 stroke

New = 4 stroke
My Honda 30 had more out of the hole and torqe than any 2 stroke I ever had.
I was a 2 stroke for life guy until I got my first 4 stroke.

Glad you like your new motor. Good luck with it!
