Is it the magnums that takes 200 grains of powder? Or the regular 700 ml? That's about new price for the magnums and the regular it's way high.

Worth 900 or nah... claims to be a 300 yard gun. The new version or the old version? I know nothing of the new model. I have one of the old ones that I bought in 1998 I believe. It's a tack driver with the load that I use but a pain to clean. These old ones are in demand for the action to be rebarreled for smokeless muzzle loaders, especially the stainless version. Mine is blue/black. I may be using it this weekend to kill some deers
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

. I converted it to musket caps way back and it lights off Pyrodex very well. Run a shotgun primer into some Blackhorn 209 and forget cleaning for about 20 shots. BH 209 is the best stuff I have ever found. I picked up a used 700 ML about a month ago. I really had to clean the barrel up, but it is now a fine shooting piece of American Steel. I have not set it up yet with a scope, but with iron sights it is deadly. I bought the 700 for a smokeless build, but may keep it the way it is now. Smokeless builds cost!!!!!
I can't stand a thief.

Remington would probably still be building and selling the 700ML if the original design weren't such a pain in the ass to clean. Be SURE to disassemble the bolt and clean it or it will seize up, the firing pin spring will break and you'll be SOL.
I bought a 209 conversation kit from a guy that builds them (not the 209 kit at Brownell's or Cabela's) and the bolt never gets that crud in it now. Seems like the guy is in Kentucky or Ohio and machines the parts.

That's identical to mine but, although it is rated for 150gr of propellant, I don't know that it's a 300yd gun. I won't ever shoot 150gr of powder in mine again and I'd never take a 300yd shot with it. And he's about $125 too high on his asking price.
