Hunting the border of an old food plot and some oaks/pines where I busted a doe from under a crab apple tree this morning while scouting. Scouted for about 3.5 hours this morning and didn't find a single acorn.

Got up the mountain, climbed up the tree and all set up just in time for the showers to really set back in. Rained good all the way till about 10. Just got home. Wanted to sit all day, but didn't have it in me. My wife bought me one of those camo tree umbrellas last year. This morning was my first time using it. It was dang nice to have The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

At least I�m in a good spot. In a pinch-point between two large areas of timber, acorns everywhere, 5 acres of dried soybeans to my left, and a few beaten down trails below me.
