It may have been discussed before here but I just can't understand the need for all the music they play while an animal comes in while filming. I understand they can't talk and narrate while an animal is close. I guess I would just do it different. Maybe it's good for the masses and selling advertisements?

TV hunting shows are, for the most part, unwatchable. The only one on TV I can stand to watch is Steven Rinella. If you want to see some awesome hunting footage, check out KUIU Hunting's youtube channel. Much of their stuff (maybe all?) is shot in 4K Ultra-HD and it is absolutely incredible. It's like "Planet Earth" meets Outdoor Channel.

The music doesn’t really bother me but those hunting shows are just one big advertisement. I mean you could literally spend $10k on every commercial break if you bought everything they advertise. I will watch them, but it’s just for entertainment purposes. What cracks me up is the abilities they have to make absolute terrible shots on deer and still recover that deer. *Whispering* “I got a bad shot on this deer…hit him in the big toe…I’m hoping I got vitals…found him!” I see more poorly placed shots on those shows than I do well placed shots.

I agree most of them suck as of late. I did find the one by Leupold on Amazon called Fresh Tracks that is pretty good. They don't do a lot of killing but hunt public land and its a pretty good show. No advertisements on amazon either makes it even better.

The douchebag leather wristbands and gay rock music turned me away from hunting shows years ago. They all want to look like Keith urban and he's an enormous douche bag. Oh and spook span. Goofey bastard

One I absolutely cannot stand is Pigman. He may be a good person so I’m not assaulting his character. Something about him just grates on my nerves.

We just had this conversation a few weeks back. I watch some of them for a fix but overall most of them suck.

I just watch them to pass time, very few of them I would even consider hunting. It’s really annoying when they “hit one a little far back” and are like I smoked him
