All my plots were sprayed in August and bushhogged in late September. I went down to sight in a few rifles and reset the cameras and noticed one plot has a ton of onion grass growing in it. I was looking to take the tractor back this weekend in plant, but now I am wanting to know if there is a way to get rid of this stuff. Do I postpone planting and spray this weekend and plant in a couple or just disk it all and plant this weekend? What will kill this stuff? Glyphosate?

I wouldn't wait until November to plant. I would just take my chances and plant it now, then deal with it next year if it is still a problem.

Glyphosate isn't your best option against it. Try a three way herbicide or metsulfuron.

But either needs to be sprayed pre plant.

Or just plant and deal with after the season might be your best option.

Planting the first week of November isn't the end of the world if you are far enough south.

Don't worry about it. The deer will eat it up. Plant it now.

If you disk it you'll spread it. Just know that. If your planting grasses only use harmony herbicide to kill garlic/onions. If you're planting broad leaves then I can't help you much.

I shot a deer that had been eating a lot of onions one year. When we loaded up the leftovers for disposal it had some kind of funk coming out of the rear end that would nock you down it was so strong.

Don't worry about it, it's a food plot, not a golf course. Plant it.

Thanks All, I ended up just disking everything real good this weekend and planting, I didn't want to miss the great rain we got last night.
