I’ve seen the damage they do. That’s why I went through this. And it’s nice to know your setup is now up to snuff for the first time in a while
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

That’s what I’m talking about. Short trail and lots of blood. They will punch through pig shoulders too.

I am not at all up on current bow technology, but one thing I like about the Muzzy broadhead is that they give you practice blades that fly exactly the same as the cutting blades. I never practice with field points at all; just keep a couple of arrows with the practice blades installed and practice only with them. But I'm a guy that just practices 8 or 10 times before the season and hangs the bow up when gun season starts, so I realize this doesn't work for serious bowhunters.
If you are like me and don't really understand how to tune a bow, Shaw does great work. He tuned mine about 6 years ago and it still shoots straight. Shaw, I didn't know if I could even pull it back this year after all my back troubles, but I turned it down all the way and at 50 lbs I can still shoot it. This might be the last season I'll be able to use it, but I'm thankful I can still go and have a chance to hunt.

I first used Muzzy around 1995. I thought it great that they gave you a practice head. Thought it weird years later that most didn’t. Anyway I hope that this education on my bow keeps me from having to shoot soooo much to get it all flying right.

Traded for a Hoyt Carbon Defiant this year was shooting 400 Gold tips pro hunters have for several years the man that set it up said this bow likes 350 weight when we tuned it. Bow would shoot the 400’s but not with Slick tricks swapped over to Black Eagle 350 weight cause found them on sale . Works perfect now . No floating of broad heads and field tips are grouping tighter. Crazy a small adjustment makes a huge difference
