Had 3 does and 1 fawn come in at 35 yards. Took a shot on the old gray one. I think I went over her back. Going to look in an minute.

Update: clean arrow so definitely went over the top.

All was quiet until 9. Had a spike chase 2 does by me with no shot. About 9:15 I hear some thing behind me and I see 5. None get any closer than 60. 9:40 I look to my right and see 4-5 more, but they stay out at around 120.

Just settled up a tree. Finally on some strong sign this afternoon.... finger ridge with white oaks, filters into a nasty cutover. Mongo trail coming out, rubs, scrapes, and poop galore.

I been in stand since about 130. Nothing but ground squirrel and jays.
I did find some fresh rubs.

Well.. at least I have a liter of water waitin on me when I come down
