So put a new sight on my bow. Field tips dialed in. Start shooting 100grn Ram cats. 30 yds all of them go right about 5 inches. Back off to forty expecting to chase one far right....it is 2 inches left of center. Any advice is welcome. Constructive advice that is.

Don’t have any advice, but I know a lot of folks have that problem with them. IF they shoot right, probably one of the best heads out there.

Tune your bow better and make sure you arrows are spined correctly for their length and your draw weight

I've shot the .125's for 3 years and love them.

I’ve shot muzzy. May try them again but they always flew 5-6 higher than my field points

Your bow is out of tune or arrow spine is too weak. What's your draw length, draw weight, and what spine are you shooting?

Flight problems with Ramcats? That’s exact opposite of my experience. I quit shooting them because of other issues. But they flew awesome for me.

Yep, if yer bow is dialed in, Ram Cats will shoot better than field points.

If your bow is tuned right, a muzzy will fly exactly like a field point.
I still shoot muzzys in my crossbow.
I can shoot a field point, into my target, and then trim the paint off it with a muzzy.
This has much to do with your arrow and fletching, which is a big part of your bow tuning.
Your arrows must correct spine, and vanes large enough to control the broadhead. If you're shooting those little girly 2" pink polkadot vanes, you'll never get a broadhead to fly straight.

Wrong

To the OP, as mentioned you need to be shooting the correct spine arrow. What is your draw weight, arrow length and what spine are you currently shooting?

Not as educated as I’d like to be. I’ll look at the spine. Draw weight and length unknown. That has been set for nine years and I haven’t changed it so haven’t checked it. I’ll be back with said info

A few reasons.
The tips of the blades would curl up after a couple of times shooting into a target. However, it didn’t affect accuracy. Just the thought of it I guess.
I liked the big cut but they didn’t fit well in to my quiver.
And I had to make sure they were turned just right on the arrow. If not one of the blades would hit the riser when I drew.

Having said all that I have thought about giving them another try.
For some reason I shot those things better than field tips.

Spine 400. It’s a gold tip Hunter. Weight is 64-66 I believe. Arrow is 28”. So how does this info factor in if the field tip is dialed in and the broad head isn’t? The tips weigh the same. Aerodynamics should be the only change right??

According to the Gold Tip calculator if I shoot 60-64 draw weight I need a 400. 65-69 a 340. I need to confirm my draw weight to start with I guess

if it was me I'd be shooting 340s with those specs. You're right on the cusp, so I'd guess that most of what you're seeing is the bow being out of tune.

Are your arrows grouping tightly with the fixed blades on them?

If you're shooting a bow with a really aggressive can you may need to be shooting a stiffer spines arrow. I shot the 400 out of my switchback and they did alright but my buddy has one of the newer hoyts with 50/60 lb limbs and he is shooting 300's to get them to fly correctly

We will burn that bridge when we get there
