We purchased a Barnett jackal crossbow and now we are looking for some input on which bolts and broad heads would be more effective for us to use. Broadheads would I need fixed blade or mechanical blades . And with the bolts they are 22" but don't know which ones to buy. Thank for your help

I shoot 20" alum 2219 shafts with 100 grain 3 blade muzzy.
Dropped my biggest buck opening day, last year, in just over 30 yards.
This year I'm going to shoot carbon bolts, Easton Bloodline shafts. They are 10.5 GPI and they stabilize the muzzy heads very well.

I use mechanical NAP Spitfire Crossbow Broadheads 100g. I use Easton bolts.

Whatever you decide, make sure you can get practice heads/blades for mechanicals. They will fly slightly different than field points.

The rage crossbow broadhead is awesome. Would highly recommend it. The doe I shot with one in MS left a ridiculous blood trail. Complete pass through even with hitting the opposite shoulder blade.

Id stay awy from mechanical on a crossbow i tried them and they shoot all over the place ive been using RedHot high velocity crossbow bolts with slicktrick standard 100 grain broadheads to get same point of impact as a field point out to 50 yards without any tuning just screw them down and go

Victory xbolts shafts shoot as good as any for me and quite a bit cheaper than most. Mine are 16.75" long with Lumnock and 150grn boltcutter broad head total weight 419 grns shoots same poi poa as field points.
