And good post too Big Ruger (except that your grammar is too meticulous and you appear to have spent too much time around fancy book learnin').

Yessir. God bless.

Coldtrail, I want to thank you brother. Your post really helped me put the loss of my woods in perspective. It's strange, but knowing that I'm not the only man out there with an emotional attachment to a special place and that many places like that still exist and are enjoyed makes it easier to deal with my woods being gone.

My favorite line from your post was: "I guess you could say it's managed by God." Perfect. I love it.

I've studied under the tutelage of one particuliary noted Man of Letters from around your neck of the woods. He's skinnier now than he used to be, has a smokin' hot blue-grass-lovin' wife, and drives foreign cars. Do you know him?

And thanks to everyone who has commented on this thread. I think I can speak for Coldtrail when I say that sharing with good folks like y'all and being understood and positively responded to is really, really cool.

We as hunters truly share a common bond with God and His creation.
