Looked at the 24 gun TS-22-11 and was impressed with the value. Seems to be a very solid safe for the $. It will be on sale Friday for $549. Anybody had any experience with these safes???

I have one and like it.

Be aware it won't hold 24 long guns. More like 15-20.
I think its a good value.

I don't want one with the hinges on the outside.

I noticed that too but it has 5 locking lugs on each side of the door and one on the top and one on the bottom - 12 total. Upside is the door will swing all the way open with the hinges on the outside.

I've got an earlier version that I bought at Sam's Club several years ago. I've had no issues with it but like was previously said, it won't hold 24 regular size guns. Mine has a top shelf that's handy for jewelry, important papers, etc.

Better make sure they don't pre-sale them. They are bad to do that. My dad went over there to buy one the last time they were on sale. He got there 20 minutes after they opened the day the sale started and they said they were sold out. He asked how they sold out in 20 minutes and the manager told him TS allows them to pre-sale stuff like that.

The manager said they don't do that anymore - I asked.

At the Troy Wal-Mart a few years ago they had that same safe at regular price of about $735, I think they had about 12. After Christmas they slowly dropped the price and I got one of the last two for about $265. I wish I had of bought both of them. Like mentioned above, scoped rifles you would do good to get 8 of them in there. Pop guns and BB guns, you might get 24.

Don't worry about where the hinges are, as long as they safe can't be broken into without a cutting torch. I have 2 lbs of black powder in my safe, with a sign on the front that says,

Blackpowder stored inside
Go ahead and cut safe open
If I can't have my guns
You can't either

I have this same safe too. It's a pretty good unit overall, but the inside materials seem awfully cheap and flimsy.

I looked at them Monday and my concern is with the electronic key pad. If this ever goes out how can you access the safe? Also the inside racks did look a little flimsy. On a side not the Cannon safe is regular $999 and they are offering them @ $699. Great price but it is too big for what I need.

The smaller Winchester (Granite) is a much better safe than the Cannon. Check out the lugs - the Cannon only has them on one side.

Most all your safes have the electronic pads now.
