Alabama's director of basketball operations resigns. Hmm.... For Bama's sake, I hope this is the extent of it. The fact that Johnson and Persons are close friends makes you wonder how much Johnson knew. Mash

I don't understand. Seems as something illegal happened but was not against NCAA or SEC rules? How could that be? If the FBI hadn't said that the NCAA didn't know about their investigation, I would assume he didn't disclose a conflict of interest But even that doesn't make sense

If the FBI hadn't said that the NCAA didn't know about their investigation, I would assume he didn't disclose a conflict of interest But even that doesn't make sense Since this involves a criminal investigation it is quite possible the FBI never told the NCAA or SEC of the investigation since they didn't know if it may have involved some of their administrators. The Federal Prosecutors don't give a rip about NCAA sanctions. They want criminal penalties. Now after the investigation is done, they will likely cooperate with the NCAA after the criminal part is over which may take years. As for the ones already charged, the fed cases, unlike state cases move very quickly once the arrest has been made.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Then basically fired this guy and reported back to LE. Appears LE contacted them first about illegal activity that wasn't against the rules.

Wow. Be interesting to find out who that recruit is and what school he ended up going to. I'm betting Collin Sexton. He signed with UA.

Sexton, from the Atlanta area, is/was the one mentioned in the T-News story.
