any of you got one on your truck? I think I`m gonna get one. I`m fed up with these non driving bastards sitting at a traffic light playing with their phone while the light is green!

If you get one I wouldn't face it forward. Driving in the rain and all the water directly flowing in it will mess it up. So ive heard

My son had one on his big ford. He lit a few people up too. Trump protesters in town, hood to coast runners blocking timberland gate, and a few others. They gtf outta the way when it sounded off.

Train Horn? don't be a pansy, get a horn off an old container ship if you mean bidness....

3. Taxation Is Theft

Don't be fooled into buying something cheaper just because it says "train horn" on it. A real train horn is not a single tone, it's several tones covering a broad range of frequencies...that's why it's so audible over long distances.

The Nathan K5 Air Chime has 5 trumpets that collectively cover the range of human hearing. The K5 is what is actually installed on a lot of trains. It's also expensive. A thousand dollar bill isn't going to get you into a train horn.

Is a train horn up under a train having the influx of precipitation puddled from the road constantly influxing?

I don't want an actual "train horn". I want the loudest horn set up I can get for a few hundred dollars.

I've been looking at them as well from what I've found Klein is a good brand and if you are going to spend the money get one with the on board air compressor set up. The basic models start around $200 and go up from there.

Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

That's the same thing I found. A decent kit with On board compressor for around $300 should do what I want

You don't have to get an on board compressor. Most of the little 12V compressors are junk anyway. You can mount an air tank under your truck bed, the kind used on semi trailers, and fill it up every 5-20 horn blasts. You'd want a resevoir tank even if you got a 12V compressor.

Most of the reservoir tanks are 3-5 gallon. I'll get the compressor and tank

Never have this issue. I think must be personal.
They look back and see the Florida tags on the front of the Avalanche and they retaliate for all of the hours spent riding behind Left lane drivers going the speed limit grin

On the tint deal.........My F150 had dark tint on the front door windows when I bought it. I don't know how dark they are, but they're dark enough that I have to roll the windows down at night if I'm navigating a tight parking lot, or backing up a trailer or something. I won't go to the trouble or expense to remove/replace it, but no way in hell I'd intentionally go that dark again. I'm just waiting to get pulled over. I'd love to know exactly how dark it is, just for reference.

We have an '03 that's the same way...plus straight piped. Was like that when we bought it. It's quieter than the '05 I bought this summer that has some form of glass packs or something. I hate the dang tint and would pay to get it removed if it was my truck!

I was in the checkout line in Academy and some kids drove by the front door and blew the place up. It was LOUD! Startled everyone.

Paint me an old fuddy duddy but I've never understood why a damn HUNTER would do this chit to their vehicle ... (not saying the kid is a hunter, but every gun season I'm greeted w/the loudest frackin' racket you've heard in your life ... part of the reason I love bow hunting so much now)...

Yep, my last truck had an aftermarket exhaust on it, and it sounded good, but was way too loud to be in the woods. I'm loving having one with a stock exhaust now. It's nice to be able to hear the radio without having to crank it all the way up.

I think he is referring to the horn and you're referring to twicepipes (exhaust)

Too much loud racket in the world now and not enough regard for peace and quiet. I'd love to go home now and relax without hearing loud horns, loud exhausts, loud neighbors.

There's a damn moron who lives somewhere near Trox (about 2 miles from me) and I can hear that sumbich when he leaves home.
I'm thinking up a good remedy for him, but can't talk about it here.

One of my favorite is the ole zip tie on the driveshaft. Most people these days aren't smart enough to figure it out.
