One of my favorite recurring threads on ArcheryTalk is the Trespasser pic threads....members posting game camera pics of people "piddlin'" on private property.

We oughta start a similar thread on here. Anybody got any?

I don't have any, but just this very morning I went to check my cameras and was saying to myself "isn't it weird that I never get trespasser pictures at this place?"

I got some old ones I can post. sumbitch got his ass handed to him by green jeans!

Busted a neighbor's daughter and boyfriend putting out corn and a cheap camera about 100 yds into this property last year before the season. Knew the uncle of the daughter and called him up immediately; told him they better not do it again or I'm calling the law. Problem solved. Just dumb high school kids that I wasn't going to run in for one incident. Returned the camera but deleted the picts before I returned, no further incursions.

After this went through and posted the lines on this 32 acres. My grandparents moved to this property in the early 70s and Granddaddy never had to post the lines; just the times we live in a guess. This is out in farm country NW of Florence.

Is that the death star in the upper right corner?

Maybe we are going to die on 9/23.

Wish I had a pic. Instead they took my camera and I have no pictures at all. It happened after the storm passed through last week and I easily tracked them back to an adjoining property. It is not going to be pretty if I find out who it was. I can't stand a thief!!!!!!

I cant believe that it took him 7 months to figure out where the corn was coming from and that it was easier to just pull it down rather than waiting for it to drop it for him. You should just shoot him to take that "stupid" gene out of the pool.

Found my Somolian friend. This was in Macon Co.

the pic with golf cart - used the sd card to download and print some quality pictures. hand delivered them to one of our local game wardens. he was real busy working another case but when he got free, he and the other game warden made a visit to the trespasser. trespasser gave admission on tape. he was ticketed for hunting w/o permission and that was a hefty fine.

the other guy that was hunting without permission, i gave him the benefit of the doubt but shouldn't have. local businessman that turned out to be a known trespasser/poacher:


i don't remember who posted it but someone said i was paranoid with all the cameras. i'm not paranoid. you don't spend $$ on a lease, insurance, lime, seed and fertilizer (not to mention use of equipment and your time) to have someone partake in the fruits of your labor free gratis.

no, not where this camera was at that time. i have hundreds of trespass pics from here when we had the lease. only had the camera "found" one time (some kids were dumping and when they put the truck in reverse, the had really bright lights that caught the camera just right and they saw it. then they stole it. then, i got really mad and tracked them down with a county deputy. got our camera back too

this jeep actually tore through the fence that seperates two gates (two seperate parcels of land -think hunting club next to each other) and drove onto the other folk's property


this guy is a well known construction contractor. he frequented the area a lot. i ran him down one day and advised him to stay away. not sure what he was doing there by himself. not a dope smoker that i know of (we were in school together for 12 years)

Judging by the more (or rather less than) horizontal orientation of that blacked-out spot, that old boy may have been in the whisky a little bit that evening.

Found a used condom the other day at my club near the gate. But not on my land.

we have a covert 3g wireless on one property (granny cam to keep an eye on elderly person )

covert 3g wireless watching coyotes in neighborhood

covert 3g watching for trespassers on leased land

covert 3g watching for trespassers at our hunting land

i believe 2 coverts were around $350 each (new) and the other two were in the $250ish range (from ebay)

2 stealth $139 for one and the other is from 2005 and i don't remember what i paid for it

it's not bad anymore - we lost the lease where all the activity occurred. we still have our gates up (with landowner's permission) to keep people from accessing our property. we aren't monitoring it with the exception of a drive by every now and again to be sure the gates haven't walked away.

the lease in stockton has been much better since the trespasser was fined for hunting without permission - i guess word got around.

the actual land we hunted was on the other side of the gate but the land you see in the picture is owned by the same corporation's family. the gate to the right was another club's gate that cut through our corner.

people pull off of the county road and up to our gate because it sits far enough off the road that when you drive by, you can't see our gate. seclusion.

The red truck with the black tailgate is from Covington County, but I've never seen it around here.

teenage girl from a neighborhood that is next to the lease we used to have. we pizzed them off one year when they were trespassing and they bought a bunch of cheap perfume and really did a number on the food plot back there. they brought in about 5 or so cans of different color spray paint and re-decorated our shooting house and the property owner's trees. then, they found one of my cameras and made it disappear. i found the batteries and that was it.

the morning this picture came through, i had a local police officer meet me (the hunting land is county and the neighborhood is city) at chicky-poo's house. we knocked on the door and her mama answered. i explained everything to the mother and she said that she had told them (her son and daughter) to not go on the land anymore. obviously didn't register. mama called daughter to door and asked her if she had been on the land. daughter said no and i told her to quit lying. i then pulled up picture on my phone (covert 3g sends pic as message to your phone) and showed her. she said it wasn't her in the picture - she had changed her shirt. i then cold busted her azz with her bright tenny shoes.

we weren't growing anything but deer on that lease when we had it. unfortunately just in a location surrounded by city folk who think because it's outside their back door, they could walk it or ride it anytime they wanted. when the owner's had the timber cut, we found an elderly couple back there who had suited up in their finest reflective vests and bright hats and went on a walk-a-bout to see what had been cut. had to advise them on the terms "trespass and prosecute". - i bout stroked out when i was put-putting back there on the fo'wheeler one time and saw some funky tracks. i started put-putting even slower while looking down at the tracks and following them. when i finally looked up, there were two guys metal detecting. caught 3 young guys (early 20's) headed back to the beaver pond to fish. they said they knew i had the lease but thought it was only during deer season and that they could use anytime before and after .

back in the late 80's, there was a fella who had prolly a hundred or so 5 gallon buckets of "herb" back there. i never knew it 'cause i had wheels by then and wasn't into traipsing through the woods anymore. we were still finding the buckets when we hunted it from '05 til we lost the lease a year ago.

if this question is for me, they are doing both. the boys that were hunting crossed the gate from back to front. came off of our land to go to someone else's. the guy with the dog crossed over to hunt birds. the vehicles all have to turn around or back out.

the proverbial straw was the fish/frozen food dumper in the green truck. at that time i was using regular game cameras and had to bring the sd card home and look at it on the computer. i just happen to have the computer at the barn the day i pulled the card and saw the pictures about an hour after he had dumped. called the county and the deputy copied my sd card to his computer and got the ball rolling. he found the guy and we went to court...twice. guy got an attorney - tried to say because it wasn't my land (leased) that i didn't have a right to prosecute . dumbazz!! he found out the hard way. that's what led me to want......need......must have....real time photos .

that's what started me to using cameras for other than watching critters. seems every time i had opportunity to hunt, i was the one finding them at one of our gates, along with fish guts .

Ok, now that all makes sense; I agree ... when property is "close" to other things, folks generally think nothing of it to stroll right through your land ...

BTW when I got into hunting a long time ago, my brother told me -- "you'll hunt PEOPLE way more than wildlife; stay alert" ... be damned if he wasn't right ...

Some of y'all need to find how a hidden solar powered fence charger hook to your gates can make for better photo taking.

they are wild. used to hear their song whilst a wee little one sitting on my grandma's front porch. by the time i was a teenager, they were disappearing. been more than 25 years since we heard/seen any.

me, GrandSlam and Charlie (when we had hunting lease) put a big hurting on the coyotes, fox, possum and coons. i know in my heart that is what helped bring them back.

You must be in a subdivision. I don't think I've ever seen a bigger assortment of dogs.

Quail are so cool. I used to get the poop scared out of me when they would blow up all around me.

I love seeing the birds! I have a lease with a covey of 15-20 in it and you'll hear them about every afternoon.

Dad said he saw a small covey of chukars today. Neighbor must have missed a few.

Congrats on the wild covey. If you want to help them out, plant some lespedeza and Egyptian wheat and plenty of cover. More than any other predators, eliminate all the feral cats you can and if you can do it legally, dissuade the hawks from the quail. You could also PM Link Jones on here for pointers. He works very hard at helping the quail on his place.

Velvet tines, I wouldn't have lost that lease, I would have gladly given it away to avoid the headache.

i'm not but right next door is a subdivision

we planted auburn gold sun hemp and quail haven soybeans. we consistently trap on our land but there has been a hawk and owl taking out a ton of game birds. check out this pic from the past. it's a shadow of either a hawk or owl

awe, it was super fine when i lived at my house (and before the timber was cut). walk out the back door and be in my most favorite shooting house overlooking a plot at the front of an oak flat. had some really good deer on it and if we can ever get it back, i'd love to have it again - even with the trespass problems we had, it was worth it.

Use to sit on my front porch and listen to the bobwhites. The last couple of months he's been clearing the underbrush to put cows on. Seen him laying t posts out yesterday. Haven't heard one since he started. I sure miss it.

I'd be somewhat concerned with this. My first thought is a hunter using them to put lure on and drag from boot or hang on a limb.

Exactly what it is. I've seen people do that before. Personally, I don't hate a deer bad enough to go buy tampons and my wife wouldn't appreciate me using hers for hunting.

Nah that's going a little far to hunt deer. Even though one of the more entertaining threads on aldeer was about just that. People like to use one of our gates as a portable toilet. We always have to watch our step when getting out to open a gate before daylight. I think some of these people must drive home naked because there will be shorts, shirts and socks all in a pile.

I'd have to find those brazen $@#$^%s. Shouldn't be too hard. They live close by, they have a "sporterized" UTV and a yellow lab. Keep an eye out for what's in the area and you'll find them. They are making me mad and I don't even have a stake in it.
