Quote:
One of my bucket list of things that I would like to do is see the Smithsonian Museums (Air and Space, American History, Natural History, and the zoo).

You can plan multiple vacations to these museums for years and probably not see them all. They're really amazing.

A friend of mine is in D.C. with his wife for her job and he's basically being a tourist for a year. I'd lose my mind if I had that much free time to spend with all the museums and history to see up there. Getting to see the Constitution and Bill of Rights was simply incredible in itself, along with touring the Capitol knowing the history that has and does occur there (despite all the mess). When we were there, a few years ago, they were debating the spending bills for the Iraq war in the House and Senate; we watched both of them vote and then saw Chuck Hagel and Hillary outside of the Capitol walking in.

As for the Ark, I don't care to see it. I agree with Perch, too, that a day could have been a nanosecond, 24 hours or 24 trillion billion years. We don't know.

I don't know about Marco Polo, but many a mariner did write about seeing Mermaids.

Dinosaurs predated man by millions of years. No overlap. You're right, it's not really a debate.

You do know there are cave drawings depicting dinosaur like animals and there is a dry riverbed in (Texas) i think ...it has fossilized human and dinosaur tracks in it?

Paluxy River, Dinosaur Valley State Park. I think that has been accepted as a hoax.

There is zero evidence in the fossil record of dinosaur and man existing at the same time. The gap is quite astounding.

From what everyone here says about Perch I assumed he was around for the original Ark!!!

Of course the Creation website says that.

Nobody is saying they don't believe that

Edit: did you even look at that second site? It is saying dinosaurs were still around in 1971. It looks like a 12 year old made that website

Y'all need to stop reading anytime you hear carbon dating and millions of years used together.

No, my statement is correct. Ask any geologist/archaeologist that is a well respected member of the scientific community. Christian or not, they will all agree that there's zero scientific evidence of man and dinosaur coexisting.

I haven't seen any evidence from the fossil record, like I referred to. People can refer to stories and tall tales all they want, but the fossil record is the only close to definitive proof.

Angelfire is like go daddy.

I can make a site about black panthers in Alabama, or say that the sky is green and the grass is blue.

Just FYI.

I love reading, post them up and I'll read with an open mind. Any reputable site.

You're welcome to provide evidence. But, as a scientist it gets old seeing stuff that's a complete lie and then other people buying into it simply because they don't know any better. Carbon dating can only be used to date things back to 40,000 years or so. No real scientist has ever claimed that carbon dating can date anything into the millions of years. Other radioactive isotopes, with longer half lives, are used for dating rocks containing dinosaur bones.
