Are salt blocks considered "attractant" and can they be hunted over legally?

Pure sodium chloride, or "Trophy Rock" brand are legal, according to aldeer expert legal redneck consensus.

He'd be right on this one. That "rule" is stupid.

Don't use blocks, use bags at least 100 pounds per year half white half red. Then about the end August or first of September put a bag of Deer Cane black magic on it and a camera. Site should be under a canopy in a spot that has no run off but you can make it hold a little water.

My mineral licks are legal, but they are juiced up in the off-season.

Add dicalcium phosphate too. You can buy it at any co-op. It provides minerals deer need. The type soil you use is important too. No sandy spots. Soil containing some clay or red dirt is best. The salt leeches into the ground. As long as I've hunted I've never seen deer use a lick. Even though they are dug out huge. I'd spend my time hunting acorn trees rather than licks.
If you want a stump removed, place a salt block on top of it after the season. they will dig one up in a year or two.

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

Mineral licks stop being a good draw for deer once the temperature drops. When it's hot they wear them out. Think of it as natures gatoraid lol. I will hunt active mineral licks in October and see plenty of deer but the sightings go down quickly once cooler temps show up.
