Firing Gus is just a step. The rest of the process needed will never happen. When Texas A&M fires Sumlin, it will appear to be a better job because of the behind the scenes activities. Or maybe because where we live we don't know about A&Ms problems.

Now don't let me stop anyone from firing Gus or JJ, but neither one of them have fumbled the ball yet. That is 100% on the players and it isn't something that it takes a college coach to teach them. All three fumbles were simple carelessness. If I were a coach, Kyle Davis might not see the field again. Between suspensions and fumbles, he doesn't appear worth the scholarship unless you base it on what he could be if he got his head right.

I'm told Pettway wasn't a doper but a barroom brawler for his game off. Davis missed all of Spring to take care of his drug issue and then had a game off for classroom attendance. White is the doper. A failed test at AU is 2 games. That is how you know it's dope. It seems to be pretty common knowledge around the campus that smoking the weed is a higher priority for him than being a backup QB.

I'm thinking you are referring to what Dye said about him. I no Auburn fan but I too think he is a good man but just a shitty football coach. The coach part is what everyone sees. I heard after the game tonight a reporter trying intentionally to stir him up. He handled it professionally but I would have understood him slapping the taste out of his mouth. He really needs to go back to HS.
