I'm sure the "official" reason is b/c she's going to take care of her dad - and maybe he is worse off than they are letting on. But the reality is, she probably realized she can't go on Fox News and defend him anymore after him showing his complete ass with the healthcare vote. He's much worse off than they are letting on. As I recall, the type brain cancer he has is uniformly fatal, and for folks as old as him, I'd be surprised if he made it 18 months.
