Seemed like there were a lot of guys saying the birds disappeared last week, including myself.
We did two different hunts Sat and Sun and had excellent shoots.
Just wanted to see how everyone else's went.

Ours went good shot a limit yesterday and 4 of us killed over 30 this afternoon. The wind was killer this afternoon. They were flying like fighters jets

We will burn that bridge when we get there

Youth hunt Saturday in Jackson County was so so. 11 birds killed in the whole field. Not sure if they lost birds due to the front or not.

They were flapping once, tucking the wings and giving it another flap 100 yards later. Had the mojo going and realized if I let them pass on the initial blast past me, they would circle and come back into the wind just like a duck will.

Still didn't help. I couldn't have hit the broadside of a barn today anyhow so after my volley they just turned, caught a gust and were gone again.

I would say we had one good shoot (fair number of birds) and one average shoot. I was holding more birds two weeks ago than I was this weekend but was thankful for what we had with all the crazy weather changes over the past 72 hours.

We had a good shoot. If I could've shot Wednesday, it would've been outstanding. We had a dang good time and about half of my guys limited.

Lots of juvenile birds killed at mine. That tells me the females/males older birds are still north. Ready for another push of newer birds.

You're right about that. I killed some of the smallest doves I've ever seen saturday

Limited both Saturday and Sunday at 2 barrel burners. Saturday in Dallas co over brown top millet, Sunday in Lee co over sunflowers. Took me almost 6 boxes they were getting it in this wind.

There were 5 of us and we all limited out between 2pm and 4pm.
There was never a time when there wasn't a shotgun sounding off. the birds were coming in faster than what I've seen them and at all heights

Good shoot in Autauga county yesterday. Most people limited out with daylight to spare. Good mix of big birds and little ones. Was surprised that the weather didn't push them out but they stayed around.

We didn't really have any birds until Thursday last week.

We melted some barrels Saturday and had the best shoot we have ever had on our place. Everyone had the opportunity to limit out and some of us did.

Feel very blessed, seems like it is getting more difficult every year to attract and hold birds.

We smoked em Saturday in south Morgan county. 7 guys and 7 limits and they were still pouring in when we were done. Shot Sunday and killed two lol. Great hint Saturday though, 105 doves with 7 shooters is never a bad day.
