I've got a 1973 25hp Johnson electric and pull start and a 1971 20hp pull start only. The 20 has something wrong in the lower unit and the 25 I think has an electrical or carb issue not sure ran perfect at 3/4 throttle last time i ran it but would bog down when I pushed it to full throttle, may just need carb rebuilt. I was thinking I could take parts from both motors and have one of them back in top condition but I have zero time to tinker with them.

I'll take $300 for the 25hp and $250 for the 20hp or $500 for both.
May trade, make offers!

The foot of the 25 is in great shape. I had a typo in the original post the 25 is actually a 73 not an 83 model, sorry.

I figured the lower unit alone is worth what i'm asking!

How is the props on the motors? Are they complete?

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Those are good motors. I can't count how many duck hunting trips I've made with ones just like that. For a good while the motor on my duck hunting boat was older than me.
