Anybody have one and what are your thoughts about it? What scope did you put on it?

I thought about getting one several times as a deer rifle for my daughter. i would have gone with the 7.62X39 version though. The only thing I don't like is the limited scope mounting options. All the rings I've ever seen for them are too high and heavy and so negate some of the weight advantage and I don't like high mounted scopes.

Have one in .204 Ruger. Great rifle, very accurate and I like the set trigger

Bought 1 in .223 just because I already had a bunch of ammo. Can't say enough good things about it. It lives on the back seat of the truck. Varmints, deer in reasonable range, pigs, and a whole lot of practice rounds for the price of 1 box of .270 bullets. I put a Zeiss 3x9 on it, but if I had to do it again I'd probably go with a 2x7 compact. Far more accurate than I am.

Well I bit the bullet and bought one. Now to scope it and see what it will do.

Keep us posted please. I guess you know that CZ makes a bolt kit that helps lower mounted scopes clear the objective. There is also a guy who makes a kit to have a nearly flush magazine. I guess you could ask in the CZ forum at Rimfirecentral. I bet one of those guys could give you contact info if you are interested.

It's a big bullet to bite. They are proud of them. That said, they are a high-quality firearm that your grandchildren will inherit. Mine is a tack driver. A lot of them are stiff or "gritty" at first, but work the bolt 4-500 times and it will start to smoooth out

Man,that's exactly the right scope! I started to suggest one but didn't because I usually suggest higher priced scopes and didn't want to sound like a snob yet again.

That rig will be wonderful carrying in the woods.

I have a 527FS with the full stock. It's a beautiful and accurate rifle. I wish it came w/o sights is my only complaint. The back sight gets in the way of scope mounting and the front sight with the hood will hang on stuff.

The safety is backwards - to me Back should be safe not fire.

Otherwise it's perfect.

I almost bought the carbine like yours in 7.62x39 but I have a lot of 5.56 ammo available. The 7.62X39 models are designed to handle cheap steel case ammo.

I put an older 3-9x40 Leupold on mine. You will need a short scope (because of the back sight) and one with a smaller ocular bell (because of the bolt issue)

Just under 6 pounds. With scope it's not quite 7 pounds

Hey being honest isn't being snobby to me. The truth is the truth. A bsa, simmons etc isn't as good of a scope as Leupold,Zeiss etc. I had purchased this scope a while back from eBay. The seller had 5 left from a sporting goods store he closed. Bought it for 299. Looking back I should have bought several because they have good glass and are much higher now.

I would look at picking up some Speer 64gr Gold dots, PSA has them for $10 per box.

How did the Fusions do. They shoot very well in my Colt 6720.
