strong backs, weak minds as a friend of mine says. that is damn hard work, the more the better. I have used my horses on my two bulls, much easier than backpacks(for me). I did watch a fella kill a good bull 3 miles away from the trailshead, up a very steep shale slide hill. His son wanted to rent my horses but I didn't want them going up that hill...in the dark...with strangers leading them.

Horses are a blessing for packing. With all the horse owners here, I'm surprised someone doesn't offer it as a service. They'd make some money. My bull last year was a 2.5 mile pack. Uphill so, had to push our bikes 90% of the way.

where I have hunted in Co you can make arrangements to have someone pack yer bull out on horses if you kill one..

I always took my own horses.
