This is the worst pain I have ever experienced. Sunday, I wasn't able to pee, so after 8 hours of waiting and trying, I went to the ER. They tried to insert a catheter twice and could not get past the blockage. So they called in a urologist. He tried a couple of times unsuccessfully. The worst pain I have ever had. So they end up taking me to the OR to run a scope. They found that there were two holes in the urethra where they punctured it in the ER. So he was able to dialate the urethra and get the catheter in. So now, i have to wear a bag until next Tuesday. I guess the up side is i should be able to pee like a fire hose after that.

DANG! Sure hope you're over the hump soon. I believe kidney stones are created by the devil, himself.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Yes them stones don't play nice,,, I've had three of them over the years and passed every one with out the help of a ER,, the pain is one of the worst. I broke my arm and it didn't hurt as bad a the stone blockage,,they punctured your inner pee hose twice ,,,Darn it boy,,,, I 'd go see me a lawyer ,,but that's just me.

lemonade made from real lemons is probably the best thing you can drink to help keep kidney stones away,,, and drinking more water.

Had my first one (I'm 65) a few months back. I've been hit by lightning, had the front right wheel of a Humvee center my chest, back/shoulder/gall bladder surgery, shingles, more stitches and stuff than you can count (chainsaws, razor tape, concertina wire, axe, ect) but the worst so far was that BB sized rock I squeezed out. Thank goodness I didn't have to go through what you are though. My empathy is with you. I don't care if I have to pee every thirty minutes for the rest of my life - I'm pouring down the water.

Well, if they leave a stent in you and you get tired of it, DON'T think you'll pull it out yourself. My neighbor tried that and got it about 1/3 of the way out before his wife had to take him to the ER. I lived with mine and thankfully they pulled it out while I was still anesthetized from my second lithotripsy.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

They left the Foley catheter in. I have to wear it through next Tuesday. Since there is a balloon on the end of this that's made to keep it from coming out, I will not be trying to pull it out myself. In fact, as much grief as this thing is giving me, I'm still scared to death of having it pulled out.

Not trying to put a bad light on things but scar tissue in the urethra can be more trouble than you know and if they've torn yours make sure you don't develop a weak stream even when you strain. It's called a stricture and can block off the urethra and prevent you for going too..

Hate kidney stones!!! I've had well over 50 ( I stopped counting ) in my lifetime and I'm 46. My body produces them like crazy. Generally will have 3-4 a year. Passed 2 in the past two weeks.

Totally understand. Stricture is what they said I had. The urologist had to dilate the urethra before they could put in the catheter. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

Dialating doesn't cure the problem but there are several things that can be done to correct this problem

And that's why our insurance rates are so damn high! Why would you sue them? You think they weren't trying to help? What if they'd have said we can't help you till tomorrow when the urologist comes in?

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

I have had two surgeries dealing with them, the worst pain a man could ever experience. I have talked to some females who said they would rather have a baby than to have kidney stones.
