The Future Of Health Insurance Very interesting article. Cliff notes: - more people are paying cash for healthcare - they're able to find a better price on their own than even what their insurance company negotiates to pay on similar procedures at "network" facilities - prices are clearly marked up front, no more confusing code language - more people will be buying the catastrophic insurance plans and paying out of pocket for routine healthcare, which will drive prices down - government reimbursement will no longer artificially drive up the costs of healthcare
