Got into building turkey calls at the beginning of the year.

I make trough style calls. Been cutting the slate with a hack type saw this whole time.

Starting to get where I'm trying to make more.

What's the best way for me to cut slate quicker and not break it all to pieces?

A tile saw? Or just continue doing what i'm doing.

Does it need to be cut with a wet saw? I've got a couple smaller circular saws. Could I get by with a ceramic cutting blade?

When I made a few years ago I used a dremmel tool and some kind of cutoff wheel to rough it in. Then I used a bench mounted belt sander and finished it.

I've used a dremel as well with several different types of blades. Works slick.

Find someone in your area with a Waterjet. Let them do a sheet at a time. It wont be cheap, but you will have a stack of them whenever you're ready for them.
