I go in for right hip replacement on Oct. 24th at the age of 37. Had a major scope and labrum tear repaired last August and I'm worse off now. I wish I had my hip replaced then, but there was no way to tell the surgery wouldn't work. We knew it was just a preservation surgery to buy some time for the replacement, but the replacement came quick. My right hip is dislocated now and hurts like all get out. I've been dealing with this since 2013 as well.

You'll do fine man. My dad just had that surgery couple months ago. He came out and was walking surprisingly fast. Just do exactly what they tell you while doing rehab.

Dad has had 4 and mom just did her 1st. The ones dad had years ago were terrible, these today are simple operations and very little down time. Mom was walking on hers the same day of the surgery. You will do great!

Dr's told mom that in New York they are doing hips as outpatient surgeries not even a night spent in the hospital. Amazing how far medical procedures have come.
