The stock seems to be better on the T3X but I am sure I will have to order an upgrade to get the 1000' shots with any consistency.

If you're going for distance shooting why not go with the 6.5Creedmoor?

I plan on getting a 6.5Creedmoor next year but I need to save up to get a better rifle. The Tikka with a 20" barrel will make the 1000' shots and I can use it for hunting and already have the reloading setup for it. The Tikka will be a great entry level rifle for long range shooting.

I'd take the 260 over the creedmoor if you reload.

I've got an itch for a Tikka CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I've got a Tikka CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Everything I've shot through it (hand loads and store bought ammo) has been under an 1 MOA. With the right hand load it will consistently shoot 1/2 MOA. I've got the 20" barrel version. They came out with a 24" version of the CTR this year. Good thing I'm past justifying the need for a gun before purchasing it.

My 24" CTR 6.5 CM shoots extremely well with Hornady factory ammo. I've purchased some PRIME ammo and but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

You're only as good as your worst shot-

I've recently become interested in the CTR. What do you like and dislike about it?

I've had a stainless T3 308 for several years now and I love it as much now as when I first bought it. Awesome gun!
