Just curious what weight arrows ya shooting, speed, and why? I'm currently pulling 71# and shooting roughly 413gr total arrow weight. My new 60# limb bow arrives tomorrow and I'm gonna stick with the same arrows. I know I lose speed but, I want the penetration over the speed, especially since my #1 target is elk.
Hoping the bow maxes out around 63#, I'll set it to the #2 setting to start testing to retain some speed.

One of my bows is a Hoyt Spyder 34 set @ 62lbs and I shoot a 502gr FMJ 340 (29in @ 11.3gpi, 50gr insert, 125gr broadheads) super high FOC and they hit like Thor's hammer. Penetration is no problem with this setup.

Id say you're definitely gonna have good penetration with that arrow weight.

I just intercepted my new bow at UPS. Maxes at 61.8. Gonna rig later today and tune. Gotta decide if I'm using this or my Icon maxed to 71.

Have you chrono tested that setup? What type of arrow flight are getting and do you notice anything odd about how it drops versus distance? I'm considering a setup pretty much just like that except 65-70 draw weight.

Also - did the bow noticeably quiet down after changing to that heavy arrow weight?

Gonna use the new prodigy this year. Tuned it today and shot out to 60. A lil slower than my Icon but, I liked the feel. Maxed at 61.5 with the 413gr arrow was at 278.5fps. That's enough speed and penetration to satisfy me.

I don't have a chrono so i'm not sure on exact fps but I had to drop 3 tapes lower on the Tommy Hogg from my previous setup (420gr) to accommodate the heavier arrow. Real world difference of about 6in more drop @ 50yds. Really clean arrow flight and semed to tune easier with the heavier arrow and is absolutely as quiet as a mouse fart.

No prob, happy to share it. If you ever wanna try a heavier arrow without spending money or making permanent changes to any arrows just cut you a length of weed eater line and drop in your arrow. You can add 100gr easily with a full arrow length piece. Fun, cheap way to fine tune your arrow weights before investing in full blown arrow build.

Roger. I was gonna up the weight but, with only a 10fps difference in my bows I'm gonna stay put. Killed elk so far so, I'm ready to see what happens.
