You have to give her credit, she saw Jefferson Airplane perform in the 1960's and decided she wanted to be a rock star and she made that dream happen. She started a band with her husband and his brother called "The Great Society" where she wrote the song "White Rabbit." They became successful enough that when Jefferson Airplane's lead singer quit to raise her child, they asked Grace Slick to join them and the rest is history.

She may have been weird (what 1960's rock star isn't) but she did say this and it's true:
