I've decided to part with my John Deere. It's a 2002 JD LT180 w/a 17hp Kawasaki engine and it's in great condition. It has a 42in deck and 356ish hours on it. Only real flaw is the seat has separated from the back(see pics). I've owned it since 2004 as a one year old trade-in at the Warrior JD store. It's been serviced ever year by dealer/mower shop up till this year. Going price on these is around $1200/$1300 in this condition but if I sell it here before it goes on Craigslist I'll take $1000.

Is it not free?

That seems to be the trend here lately for JD tractors.

If you change your mind I'll take it.

We always sold those with 48" decks. I bet that thing will march through some grass with that size deck. Those were nice mowers. Liked them much better than the Lowes/Home Depot models.

You're first on the list if I decide to give it away.

Yeah, it cuts very well. I had considered changing to a 48in deck a few years ago but couldn't justify the cost, plus it mowed just fine as it is. We all dream of a bigger deck now and again.

Couldn't justify the cost? I'd pay a LOT of money for 6 more inches.
