There are two ways I could take the "bucks must be mounted" statement. 😂 You guys get bored a lot in Oklahoma or just can't find any one that will have you?

I do not understand this rule. A spike would be legal if mounted but a 200" buck would not be allowed if I don't mounted it? And how do you enforce this rule - come to my house 6 months after the season and ask to see my mount?
Your club - your rules obviously. Good luck. I guess you're the kind that shoots basket racks and looks for a way to justify it aren't you? Obviously the rule means that you're only allowed to kill mature deer that are big enough to mount. No 100" basket rack deer.

Your club - your rules obviously. Good luck. I was in a club for 3 years that required all bucks to be mounted. How it worked there was that you prepaid the cost of a mount, and when you killed a buck, an officer of the club took the buck to the taxidermist for you. Then, you prepaid for another mount, and could resume hunting. You had no hunting privileges unless you were prepaid. The rules were written in ink and well known before you joined. No exceptions. No one complained. Best club I've ever been in. I'd still be in it, but we lost our lease to a family member of the landowner.

Your club - your rules obviously. Good luck. we are just a small group of guys wanting to raise a few quality deer (I know this is a bit unrealistic on 500 acres), so if you have not hunted much and wanted to kill a spike and pay to get it mounted, we would not care. No one is going to enforce the rules, we are just trying to find like-minded people.

No one is going to enforce the rules, we are just trying to find like-minded people. We have had the "shoot it you mount it rule in club im in for years" not that complicated. Basically keeps trigger happy people out. If a new hunter wants to shoot a 115" deer and its worth the money to mount it, go for it. Most people dont like to keep mounting the same size over and over.

Your club - your rules obviously. Good luck. The rule makes good sense to me. A dead deer is dead, and if you shoot it and are happy with it, and can stroke a $500 check to mount it, I'm happy too. This is how we operate as well.
