We have sold thousands of doses at the clinic I work at with little to no problems. What kind of dog is it for? Most of the problems I have heard about have been from smaller lap dogs. About a 40lb Heinz 57 inside dog. I would not hesitate to try Bravecto then.

Trifexis works good and does flea tick and heartworm. Nexguard is for flea and Tuck and works great on my dogs and is cheaper than comfortis. And comfortis is mainly flea I'm pretty sure too. Trifexis is comfortis with heart guard. We used to use it, but it made our dog vomit ever time we gave it to them. We use Nexguard now and our dog has not had a flea or tick since we started using it. That is interesting...we tried to give ours Comfortis when we were using ProHeart injections every 6 months for heartworm prevention, but it made one of them sick. The same one that it made sick is the one that kept getting whipworms and that is when we started using Trifexis and we have had no issues since. We do always give it right after they eat, though. Trifexis is spinosad(comfortis) and milbemycin oxime which is a heart worm preventative that is also in sentinel and interceptor. There is no heartgard , which is an ivermectin based heartworm drug, in trifexis. The spinosad and ivermectin do not mix and causes many dogs to get sick, and has even killed some. I thought my vet said heart guard. I must have heard heart worm and just made it heart guard in my head brain.

I'll give another vote for the Soresto collar. I bought one and it works great. It takes a couple days to take ahold but after that you are good to go. You can also get them at Walmart cheaper, like 54 bucks or something. If walmart has them that cheap, then I need to start getting my supply from walmart.

The Soresto collars work. Got it at Wally World for a little over $50.

You just got married and she already has you on Trifexis? Didn't she know you had fleas before the wedding? SouthBamaSlayer- Trifexis. Gary's Fluffer

Good information for the most part here. I have switched from Trifexis to Interceptor and Nexgard. My dog readily eats them, with trifexis I had to drag him from under the bed and cram it down his throat. He hated it.
Same here. I had to force the trifexis down his throat. He eats the Nexgard with no problem like it is a treat.

to op, are you sure the dog isnt throwing it up after you give it to him. That would cause it not to work. I always give at least an hour or 2 after they eat to prevent sickness. Sometimes i give them half one day and half the next.
i think they use to have a med with hart-guard and confortis, but discontinued it.
I've been using trifexis in summer and hartguard in cooler months.

I've been using trifexis in summer and hartguard in cooler months. Not that I am aware of. I make sure she has eaten before giving it to her. But she hates it and will not eat it, even in a treat. I have to force feed it to her and then watch to make sure she doesn't throw it up. Kind of why I was seeing if there may be something else.
