I finally got caught up at work so I'm planing on going catfishing tomorrow morning. Ive only fished 3 hours in the last month so im sure whats biting better. Trying to decide about where to launch and if i should bring my bait tank. Generation schedule said 2 at 20,000 cfs all day. Perfect current for big blues.. any one been lately?

I decided to fish for blue's this morning. I caught really good bait. I caught a mess of 2 pounders but never got any big girls to bite. I fished until I felt like an egg in a skillet then called it a day.

I like to buy cheap chicken with the skin and bone at grocery store. I cut out all the meat with the skin and put it in a bag with garlic salt and a good dose of wd-40 for bait on blues.

I caught really good bait. Using a castnet? I'm going next week and hope my back will let me throw mine a couple of times. Shad are thick below G Dam and I've yet to use fresh shad for bait. Still have one bag of frozen skipjack left in the freezer.

Yep I caught about 50 shad 8-11" that's my favorite size for cut bait. We don't have any skipjack on lay or Logan Martin. I have fished with some skipjack on lay but I didn't have much luck.

I like gizzard shad the best for blues here in the Tennessee river. I catch the biggest ones i can find, cut em in half and bait my hooks. How is the grass up by you? That's why I switched to fishing below the dam. Can't figure how to fish the lake when the grass comes out.
