In several of my summer plots where I planted the Power Plant I have a Bahia grass explosion. I have the beans and stuff coming up, but the Bahia is now on steroids due to all the liming and fertilizing I did.

I disked it 3 times before planting and it was 90% dirt.

Maybe the Arrest product is what I need???

I don't want to kill the good stuff that is there.

Round Up will kill it. If grass is your problem use Clethodim, it will not hurt your broadleafs. Don't know if Power Plant has any non-broadleaf stuff in it.

Yep no go on the Clethodim with Corn and Milo. Sounds like with that mix a pre-emerge would be your only option and its a little late for that.

I called the Whitetail Institute and they said I could use Arrest to kill Bahia grass in a Power Plant plot. They said it would not hurt the power plant stuff.

My power plant did not have milo - has sunn hemp and sunflowers for the beans and peas to grow on. I am mainly concerned with not killing the peas and beans.

I am gonna get some Arrest and test it out in a small part of one plot and see what happens.

I will report back the results.

These are new summer plots btw, places that have never been cultivated before, at least not in the last 25 plus years, so it has been pasture grass that whole time, so it doesn't want to let go. Next year I will spray the heck out of it and then get it ripped deep then spray again before planting...~
