I don't know a lot about sharpening knives. I do know that I don't want to spend a lot of time doing it. This little thing put an nice edge on my EDC knife and my bush axe with 3-4 pulls. I was amazed. A good buy for $10.

It would be OK for working tools but I wouldn't use it on a nice knife. Those tungsten bars just shred-tear steel from an edge.

My favorite method is a red DMT followed by a ceramic rod, followed by a loaded strop.

learn to sharpen with auto body wet/dry sandpaper, a mouse pad, and strop with polishing compound. lots of tutorials on youtube. once you set a nice edge, simple stropping returns it to hair-popping sharp.

I hope you dont like your knife. Those things will ruin a good knife. It womt take you long and your knife will be looking like it belongs in a ferriers tool box to clean out horse hoof. My brother still uses his after he turned the long blade on a case tri-blade to it new look of a insulation knife

My EDC blade was screwed up by someone trying to do me a favor over ten years ago. This thing put a nice edge back on it after a few pulls on the tungsten and the ceramic. I'll primarily be using the ceramic just to keep a decent edge on it. I don't own any knives that costs over $25. Thanks for the info. Good to know.
