This is one of the reasons that folks convert to no-till. Rain is rarely gonna fall like we want it to. Instead, what we’re more likely to see is either heavy down pours or nothing. So we buffer against it by improving water infiltration and reducing moisture loss, etc.

Got home early today and was just about to get on my brand new JD zero turn for the second time since I bought it 3 weeks ago. Monsoon style downpour just before I headed outside. Looking at the radar, got another one coming in a few minutes.

Guess I'll start drinking beer early today....

And no till works in reverse conserving moisture in a dry spell too.

Rain, Rain go away come back another day

Came in from bush hogging a neighbors lot at 5, at 5:45 we got 2.5' and it's still falling, not as bad though.
