Photobucket got tired of being the middleman with no return, so last week it changed its terms of service to prohibit third-party links unless you pay $399 a year. Not three dollars ninety nine cents ... $399.00. As expected, PB users are furious. This is devastating to me if it stops working from an Iphone. It took me five years, a 30 minute lunch lesson from YEKRUT plus a endless number of phone calls to learn how to post pics on here from photobucket. I'll draw y'all a picture and post it for y'all before I pay treehundred dollar to them.

IMO they're tired of being the freebie middleman for someone to post items on a commercial site and make money. I don't blame them at all. It would be like someone using this site to consistently promote their commercial business without buying an ad and paying the owners.
However, failing to inform your customers or users this change is coming -- if Photobucket failed to do so -- and springing this on them while disabling photos and holding them hostage for ransom is a load of bovine fecal expulsion.
I doubt if they'll back down completely. With Amazon involved, hell, Bezos might just buy Photobucket or something. Dunno. But I don't think PB will just go back to the way things were. If they do then they're even dumber than they are now.
