I like Finnlights. I have owned a couple and own one now but sometimes I get tired of not being able to use a better variety of mounts that would be more useful for a wider variety of scopes. My finnlight will only accommodate certain scopes with longer eye relief or longer tubes.

I much prefer my Kimber and Forbes to the Finnlight.Rather than a Finnlight, I would just buy a Tikka since I could put one in a Mcmillan for the same price as a Finnlight. I would then have a stiffer action that can use a better variety of mounts including a picatinny rail. It would already have the same barrel used on Finnlights and a better stock with the Mcmillan. The only thing you would loose is the metal magazine.

FYI
If considering a Finnlight, EuroOptic may still have some of the black ones on sale less than $1000.

Steyr ProHunter Mountain rifle, or second place would be Savage. I have two Steyr rifles, and both are tack drivers.
