I'm going to consult. 1 to make some good money, and 2 to piss off Outback. I can book 20-30 hours a week $115/hr plus costs all day long. Problem is they want you for more hours than you want to give in a retirement status. I'll have some non-reimburseable costs so that number probably drops to $85 but that's enough for me once I hit 60. It will cover all my personal expenses and insurance plus allow my retirement fund to grow for at least 5 years before I start tapping into it. Only potential kink as someone mentioned is health. All that goes to pot if the health does.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Also got a good family friend with a sizable high fence operation. He's told me I'd have a spot managing his operation in the future barring we're not both dead. It'd be a toss up between full time tractor man or that.

If I need to work, Im currently workinv in the Fuel business on the Govt side. Consultants and Contractors make better money than I do working for government.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Traffic signal consulting, tractor work, grass cutting, garden growing. Hold on this seems like too much work. Maybe I'll just sit on the lake and fish
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Would love to run a charter boat(or be a deckhand). If not, grouchy Walmart greeter will work I guess The stereotypical old guy that sells the fishing licenses at the Walmart at the beach seems like a good gig.

I will be 50 in two months. I have a 2 year old daughter. I will die working.....
After 911 I lost my ass in the market and focused on land and rental property. Started a mini storage business a few years ago and between it and rental property I'd be fine to retire as long as my health holds up. Problem is My money is tied up in things that require effort to keep going. Truth is I will probably practice law till I croak.

Just thinking about the thread, "Do you actually enjoy your job?".
I've helped a guy cut yards for the last couple of years after my daytime gig. It's prompted me to pick up a couple of them on my own. I plan on doing it in retirement since it's the kind of thing you can do for a few hours a week on your own time and folks are willing to pay $$$. Well,I am "retired" after 20 years in the Air Force. Retired E-8 don't pay enough to live on. At 42,I used my experience and came back on the payroll with the govt and will continue on until I'm 62......maybe older. I still support the uniformed and like what I' doing. Main thing is use it or loose it. You have to keep moving.

When I retire I'm going to sell lawn mowers and artificial reefs. Probably set up a school or two for real estate and captains licenses on the coast until the market gets fully saturated.

Well I've hunted and fished as much as possible and have my morning walks but really haven't found exactly what I want to do other than those things mentioned
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be
