A friend of mine from work was having problems with deer getting in his garden at night. I told him about what I do to keep them away. He told me I was crazy. I said it worked so far. I said, Get yourself 3 or 4 empty two liter bottles, fill em up with water, and set them up around the garden. He never would do it. one day I brought him some empties and said just try it.
Him working shift, I hadn't seen him for a few weeks. I asked about the garden problem. He looked at me and said, "some things you just cant explain" For the last couple years, those bottles have just been sitting there, grass and ant beds growing up around them. He says they are still working.
FF to today. He comes to work and tells me about his pea garden he planted further out away from the house. Said the deer are killing it and not allowing his peas to get up and going. So, the other day, he put two more clear 2 liter bottles out there. Said he hasn't seen a track anywhere near his pea patch. Some things you just cant explain.
I just wonder how this would work on summer food plots? I think I've got some empty bottles around here somewhere.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

He joined a year before you did Remi and he's got less than 10 posts. That seems odd.

No, not a troll. I guess I was hoping someone else may have tried this and would chime in. All I can say is, it works in my garden. Works in my coworkers garden. I read a lot. Don't post a lot.I just wanted to contribute to the forum.

Do you know what makes it work? Does it resemble something they don't like?

Have no idea. May be like the penny in a sandwich bag, for the chicken coop. That kinda works.

Cut up some Irish spring soap and put in the bottle. Replace top and cut windows in side to allow scent to get you but so water will not get in and you will deter deer from your plot.
