If you want an honest service writer there, ask for Brian Drawhorn. I've known Brian for about 16 years now. No BS kind of guy that will shoot you straight, and knows his Toyotas. He owns/operates WabFab Off-Road as a side business. This is true. Another good one is Steve Woods.

In 1995 I went to work at Sunny King Toyota in Anniston, we were selling about 100 combined new/used units per month, and always beat Tuscaloosa. Hoover was far and away the top dealership for numbers, not even close. Serra was next, and Sunny King and Tuscaloosa were both about middle of the pack in our region.
Dave came in as the sales manager (or general manager?) and within a couple of years they were knocking off Hoover some months. We were always told his secret was his method of incentivizing the sales people. Most dealerships have a bonus structure about the same..."sell X many cars and get $100 cash, X many get $250, X many get $500", you get the point. A really good salesman at Tuscaloosa back then might sell 20 cars and get that $500 bonus. Dave came in and did a personal meeting, created a file, for each salesman. Asked them if you had $10,000 what is the one thing you'd love to do? Want to golf at Pebble Beach? Want a Texas whitetail hunt? Just couldn't be "cash"?...told them we're gonna make more money anyway, I want you to WANT SOMETHING!!! He'd find out what the most cars that salesman had ever sold was, then tell them if they would increase that by X number/percent, he'd give them $10,000 at Christmas. They exploded from there!

Very cool story, ikillbux. As a Realtor, I do similar things to keep myself motivated. It's easy to just go through the motions and set a monetary goal, but trips or toys are better incentives

They serviced and repaired my daughters 4runner while she attended UA. I was pleased with how they treated her and the work on the vehicle.

You guys that "think" you got a "good" deal at a dealership crack me up! Where do you get your best deals on new vehicles? I've never bought a new vehicle and don't plan to. I'll let others drive the new car off the lot along with 15%-20% of it's value. I won't even buy a vehicle (new or used) from a dealership and my father-in-law is a salesman at one. Car dealerships are there for one reason, to make money selling vehicles. I prefer to keep as much of my money as possible. You guys keep buying the new ones and I'll keep buying the ones individuals are selling for reasons other than making a profit.

I'm thinking about picking up a 4x4 Tacoma in the very near future. Their low-price guarantee is appealing to me, I'm thinking about taking the plunge and I've never bought a bran new vehicle...

I went to Hoover Toyota straight from Tuscaloosa Toyota's parking lot if that tells you anything. I had cash in hand for a brand new vehicle but they didn't want it. Hoover did.

My wife has purchased quite a few vehicles from Tuscaloosa Toyota over the years. Their low price guarantee was beat easily by Hoover after the wouldn't come off a penny.

I bought my 2015 Tundra from them and have my Tacoma serviced there for seven years now. I've had zero problems with them

Yeah, it seems like with email now, you could play other dealerships off them and save a few hundred bucks easily.

You guys that "think" you got a "good" deal at a dealership crack me up! Where do you get your best deals on new vehicles? If you ever get a GM Employee discount, you'll see a real good deal. I'm guessing that is about as close to cost as you'll ever get. I'm guessing some of the guys that work at the different auto manufacturers here are getting some good deals as well.

If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.
