swamp_fever2002 OP Administrator Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 35,446 Missouri	I took my 9 year old nephew Reagan on his first ever youth deer hunt this weekend here in Missouri. We built a ground blind out of cedar limbs yesterday afternoon in a water way, on the edge of a corn field we just harvested a couple weeks ago. We hunted but did not see anything, wind was about 20-25 mph all afternoon. We did not get settled in until 4:30pm today. He had basketball practice from 2pm-4pm this afternoon and church this morning. At 5:10pm this buck jumps the fence and heads to the picked corn field and starts walking the edge of the high grass and the field towards us, he gets about 15 yards from us a quarters into the field. My nephew takes aim and drops him in his tracks at 20 yards with the Savage .243 185 Lb 6 point. Small rack but big body. What a great weekend. It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
